Taekwon-Do for adults
We offer the following programs for adults (male and female, aged 16 and over):
Traditional
The art of Taekwon-Do; consisting of traditional procedures and training methods. Emphasising both physical and mental development and character building through the use of fundamental movements, patterns and pre-arranged sparring procedures. You will also learn about the history and philosophy behind Taekwon-Do.
Free Style - Fighting Fitness
Designed for people who want to learn how to defend themselves; become fitter and more flexible, in the shortest time possible.
With most martial arts systems, only about 50% is specific to combat and self-defence. The other 50% is purely ‘Art' specific - the fundamental movements, patterns, history and philosophy. Although these are interesting and beneficial, some people simply don't have the time for this! Rather than putting 50% of the effort into the Art and 50% effort into the combat procedures, you will put 100% effort into combat and fitness. This will make you more efficient at self defence in a shorter period of time. As long as the tenets of Taekwon-Do and the code of respect is still adhered to, this is a perfectly acceptable system that more and more people are benefiting from, both mentally and physically.
